Nine Q1 publications, nine academic achievement awards
The academics recognized for their achievements in June met with Rector Prof. Ferudun Yılmaz and received their awards.
With nine Q1 publications completed during the first half of 2026, I had the honour of receiving my ninth academic achievement award from our Rector.
The 18th “Successful Academics Meet the Rector” programme, organized by the Bursa Uludağ University Research and Development Coordination Office, brought together researchers contributing to the University’s scientific output. The meeting offered an opportunity both to celebrate achievements and to discuss our research-driven development goals.
By the midpoint of 2026, the University had already matched the total number of Q1 publications achieved throughout 2025. The growing number of papers ranked within the top one per cent of their fields is another valuable sign of strengthening research quality and international visibility.
I sincerely thank our Rector, Prof. Ferudun Yılmaz, for making academic achievement visible and giving us reason to be proud each month. I also thank the BUÜ Research and Development Coordination Office and Esra Karaca for the care and effort they invest in these motivating events.
